The KIP is part of the Indian ministry’s ongoing programme of associating with the younger generation of the Indian diaspora. The proposed programme involves three weeks of stay in India’s different states, and is open to 40 participants in the age group of 20 to 28 years, a Press release issued by KIP said.

As per the programme, participants will stay in New Delhi for three days and will then visit various states of India during which they are slated to visit IT parks, universities, hospitals etc. They are also expected to take part in environmental projects, primary education and rural health etc.

To join the KIP, the applicants need to submit their personal details at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi. The participants will initially have to pay the cost of their tickets.

Afterwards, the government of India will reimburse an amount equivalent to a one-way economy class air-fare. The state governments will bear the internal travel expenses, the Press release added.

The last date for receipt of the applications at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi is August 9.
