According to the Dubai health authorities sources, the Ministry of Health has taken prompt steps to meet the shortage of redback anti-venom and has now made it available to a number of hospitals and clinics across Dubai. These hospitals are now equipped to deal with any emergency arising as a result of redback spider bites which have a constant source of worry for Dubai residents recently.

The anti-venom is brought from Australia where redback spider is a major hazard. It is also believed that these creatures came to emirate from Australia.
