Another under-construction building catches fire in Shaikh Zayed Road

DUBAI – Barely a week after an under-construction building in Shaikh Zayed Road caught fire, another building near Shangri-La Hotel has met with almost same fate on Saturday morning. This time the first erupted in the car parking area inside the building.

fire1Fire fighters have rushed to the site and fighting the blaze.

Though traffic on the Shaikh Zayed Road has not affected this time,police have closed the parallel road in front of Shangri-La Hotel.

Thick smoke has enveloped the area, according to eye witnesses.
