The existing food court is located on the Student Centre's ground floor. The expansion will take place on the first floor and will provide seating for 200 persons divided into six different seating areas. Cuisines to be offered include Chinese, Italian, Arabic (including saj cooking), sub-continent, English and European. Fast food, a salad bar, and live theatre cooking will also be featured. The project is slated for completion by the end of February 2004.
The expansion agreement was signed by George DeBin, AUS vice-chancellor for finance and administration, and by Abd Al Aziz Osman, ADNHC operations executive director-Middle East. AUS was represented by Richard Mundy, operations director; Antoine Chebat, strategic planning director; and Sahar AbouBakr, commercial manager.
The ADNHC representatives present included Nabil Osman, assistant operations director Middle East, and Giles Dale, business development manager.
