Allocation for Civil Defence approved

ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Executive Council yesterday approved a memorandum submitted by the Finance Department for allocating a budget for the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence for setting up new stations and procuring vehicles, heavy equipment and fire-fighting devices.

General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, presided over the weekly meeting of the council.

The budget will also cover recruitment of more personnel, office and non-office furniture and accessories.


The council reviewed a number of topics and memoranda on improving government service delivery performance in the emirate.

A memorandum submitted by the Department of Municipalities and Agriculture was also approved for the appointment of a consultant for kindergarten schools project in Abu Dhabi.

The council endorsed the allocated amounts for revised specifications and plans of the Shaikh Zayed Bridge on Abu Dhabi island.
