Aluminium Bahrain, a leading national company in Bahrain, is the gold sponsor for one of Bahrain's most significant event, - Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) 2016 - to be held from January 21 to 23, 2016, at the Sakhir Airbase in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
BIAS 2016 is held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, and under the direction of Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the personal representative of the king and the chairman of the supreme organising committee of the BIAS.
The show is organised by the Ministry of Transportation and telecommunications and Royal Bahraini Air Force and in cooperation with Farnborough International Ltd.
Alba's chief executive officer, Tim Murray said: "Alba is proud to back this event, which raises Bahrain's profile at an international level, and adds value to the Kingdom's aviation sector. Our support highlights the company's confidence in Bahrain as a key hub for the global aviation industry."
Ahmed Al Nemah, acting undersecretary of civil aviation affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications expressed his thanks to Alba for its continued support and cooperation in making this event a success.
Bapco sponsors key health entity
The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) has recently provided sponsorship to the programmes of the Bahrain Occupational Health Association, in line with the company's continued efforts aimed at fostering social partnership and enhancing dedicated efforts in fostering the sustainable growth of the kingdom.
Bapco's general manager, human resources and administration in charge of exploration and petroleum Engineering, Ghassan Al Muhanna received association president dr Mohammed Saleel and Vice-President Dr. Mohamed Saleh Abdullatif.
During the meeting, Muhanna presented the sponsorship cheque to Dr Saleel, hailing the dedicated role of the association in fostering the occupational health of the workers in the kingdom.
BCCI hosts global employers' summit
First vice-chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Othman Alrayes has said that 500 participants from Bahrain and overseas are expected to participate in the seven panel sessions of the first annual global employers' summit .
The summit will be hosted in Bahrain from October 6 to 7, in which the first session will be on doing business in the Gulf region; the second on the role of the financial sector; the third on facilitating the free movement of workers; the fourth on the global youth unemployment; the fifth on trade, jobs and growth; the sixth on promoting inclusion and diversity; and, the seventh on business and human rights.
Alrayes called business owners and all interested sides to participate in this major event and convey the experience of the private sector in addition to seizing the opportunity to interact with their counterparts and build business relations.
Boost for GFH as key rating affirmed
GFH Financial Group has announced that Capital Intelligence (CI), the international credit rating agency, has affirmed GFH's long-term rating at 'BB' and the short-Ttrm rating at 'B'. The outlook for GFH's ratings has also been affirmed as 'stable'.
According to CI's report, these ratings are supported by a number of positive factors including GFH's satisfactory leverage, the improved diversification of the balance sheet and revenue streams in H1 2015 and the consolidation of Khaleeji Commercial Bank. The report noted that GFH's liquidity metrics and debt service capacity have improved albeit moderately. The report also stated that looking ahead, income volatility is likely to diminish and income generation to strengthen due to commercial operations.
