Al Tayer leads RTA on tour of Hong Kong and Japan

DUBAI — A delegation of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), led by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, left yesterday on an eight-day trip to Hong Kong and Japan.

The delegation would review the combined transport systems in Hong Kong, visit the Ministry of Lands, Infrastructure and Transport in Japan, review the operations system of Tokyo Metro, visit the manufacturing facilities of Dubai Metro, and attend the technical trial run of Dubai Metro.

In Hong Kong, the delegation will visit Kow Station in Hong Kong, meet the Chairman of Mass Transit Rail, make a site tour of the station to inspect luggage handling equipment, and review their expertise in serving property development as well as retail facilities.

The delegation will also visit Kowloon Station during which it will attend presentations on Express Airport Line, Air Port Express Railway, Property Operations and Operations Model of Bus and Ferry.
