Al Nahyan family receives condolences

The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received a condolence cable from Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdelaziz, Governor of Tabuk Region in Saudi Arabia, on the death of Shaikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.

Prince Fahd expressed profound sorrow on the demise of Shaikha Maitha. Meanwhile, members of the Al Nahyan family continued to receive condolences on the second day of the demise of Shaikha Maitha.

At the Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President’s Representative; and Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, received condolences from His Highness Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman; Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman. They were accompanied by a number of Shaikhs and senior officials from the various emirates.

Condolences were offered in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, and Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor. The Shaikhs also received condolences from envoys sent by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar and Sultan Qaboos of Oman.

A number of Shaikhs, ministers, military officers, members of diplomatic missions, senior officials, members of the business community, citizens and residents also offered condolences.—
