Al Ain Police gear up for Eid Al Fitr holidays

AL AIN — The Al Ain Police Directorate has chalked out a comprehensive plan ahead of Eid Al Fitr, which will be marked after the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

The plan includes intensifying police patrols on all streets and roads to ensure public safety and to avoid congestion and traffic jams the city and suburbs will witness during the Eid holidays.

Brigadier Hamad Ajlam Al Omaimi, Director of Al Ain Police directorate has called for the deployment of police patrols to ensure public safety in the city’s residential and commercial areas, Eid Musallas, public parks, highways and internal roads.

Police stations of the directorate have mapped out pre-emptive plans under which police patrols will be stationed in a number of places which are viewed to see an overcrowd such as markets, tourist landmarks and shopping malls, he said, adding that, the move will be taken to avoid occurrence of accidents which might mar the joy of the event. He urged the public to be careful and abide by safety measures, and not leave the doors of their cars open while performing Eid prayers, or in front of shopping malls, lest they should be exposed to theft. He also advised motorists to be careful while on the road and to adhere to speed limits.

He has also urged parents to keep an eye on their children while in swimming pools, playing on the streets, and to prevent them from playing with firecrackers.news@khaleejtimes.com
