Al Ain ETE achieves 70pc Emiratisation

AL AIN — The Emirates Transportation Establishment (ETE), Al Ain branch, has achieved a 70 per cent emiratisation of its administrative staff.

Revealing this, ETE Al Ain branch Director Mattar Soroor Al Shamsy said that the move is part of the UAE policy to employ more nationals to enable them contribute to the country's development.

''Recently, the ETE, Al Ain Branch has recruited three new local employees in technical positions in the Operations Department,'' he informed.

He noted that the ETE, Al Ain, needs to recruit more locals in the technical departments of the establishment.

''Local cadres are distinguished and have proved their ability in all positions and fields,'' said Mattar.

Matter noted that the move of replacing expatriate employees with UAE nationals is part of the ETE Emiratisation strategy to reach 100 per cent localisation ratio.

Official statistics have revealed that there are 33,500 national job seekers throughout the UAE. He said that the high percentage of Emiratised jobs in the ETE will encourage locals looking for jobs.

The ETE offers training opportunities and courses under the localisation plan of the establishment.
