Al Ahram chief editor calls for boosting regional ties
DUBAI - Ibrahim Nafe, Chairman and Chief Editor of the Egyptian newspaper Al Ahram, has said the current situation in the region requires the speeding up of discussions on the future of security system in the Gulf, specially with Iran, Turkey, the US and Europe.
Mr Nafe, who is also Chairman of Arab Journalists Federation, was speaking at the opening of a seminar on the Egyptian-Gulf relations.
He said, "We need to boost regional cooperation based on mutual respect of rights and interests."
