Ajman Ruler pardons 67 prisoners

Ajman - To mark the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, H.H. Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council member and Ruler of Ajman, has ordered the release of 67 prisoners of different nationalities from the emirate’s Correctional and Punitive Establishments.

The pardon was given to the inmates for showing good conduct and memorising chapters of the holy Quran while serving their jail terms.

Those convicted of deportation will be deported.

The Ruler hoped the released prisoners would lead a decent life after they served their jail terms for the best interest of their families and the community at large.

Brigadier Ali Alwan, Director General of Ajman Police, paid tribute to Shaikh Humaid for offering a new chance to pardoned prisoners to be good citizens and reunite with their families.

He added that procedures for their release would be immediately processed to allow them join their love ones at the start of Ramadan.
