Speaking to Khaleej Times, Yahya Al Reyaysa, Director-General of Ajman Municipality told the municipality has banned using of stove  and all kinds of charcoal burners in the tents to avoid fire accidents.

“Cooking inside the tents are completely prohibited, as it poses danger to people who gather for Iftar meal,” he said. He also urged organisers of free Iftar meals to follow health and hygiene regulations to avoid food poisoning.

He also pointed out that organisers must get prior approval from the civil defence and the municipality before they set up free Iftar meal tents.
