AIS inks Dh271m deal with UAE armed forces

ABU DHABI — Advanced Integrated Systems (AIS), a national provider of security solutions ranging from buildings security to homeland security, yesterday announced that it had signed a Dh271-million contract with the General Headquarters of the UAE Armed Forces.

The deal is part of the Hares Project which aims at establishing a highly automated target detection, identification and tracking border security system to respond to external threats on the UAE borders. AIS announced the deal at the inaugural edition of the International Security and National Resilience Exhibition and Conference (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2008), held under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

AIS occupies the largest exhibition space at the event which concludes tomorrow at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre. As many as 147 exhibitors from 20 countries are participating in the exhibition.

The goal of Hares Project is to establish a complete border security solution.
