New all-time high for gold prices may have to wait, analyst says
In a statement released on Tuesday, the ADFD said it, “will cover the cost of urgent operations for underprivileged people in the UAE”.
The move, in line with the UAE Red Crescent Authority’s (RCA) humanitarian programmes, reflects the fund’s commitment to ensuring underprivileged people who suffer from medical conditions receive the care and support. “Our commitment to supporting underprivileged segments of the local society falls in line with ADFD’s corporate social responsibility,” said Mohammed Al Suwaidi, the fund’s acting director-general.
Mohamed Khalifa Ahmed Al Qamzi, secretary-general of the RCA, commended the initiative, which will help reach treatment for patients in need of urgent surgeries and unable to lead a normal life. —olivia@khaleejtimes.com
