A new plant powered by artificial intelligence to treat sewage water for use in irrigation and washing cars has been inaugurated in Sharjah. The plant can process 1 million litres of sewage water per month.
Thabit Al Turaifi, Director-General of the Sharjah Municipality, said the plant would help recycle waste water, which will then be used by car wash companies and to maintain the green areas in the emirate. "It will also contribute to ensuring environment sustainability and expand the green areas in Sharjah," Al Turaifi said.
The plant is a "strategic addition to the achievements of the municipality", he added. "The Sharjah Municipality is keen to provide its services in an optimal manner and is working hard to establish a culture of creativity and innovation."
