Ahmadinejad, whose country has a longstanding territorial dispute with the UAE, was greeted by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other top Emirati officials, WAM said.

His two-day visit comes close on the heels of a trip by US Vice President Dick Cheney, who warned that the United States will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
