The aim of the group is to empower parents while providing support in effectively dealing with the challenges of parenting a child with ADHD. Specific parenting strategies will be discussed along with the experiential sharing amongst the parents.

The group will focus also on educating, informing and creating awareness among parents about community resources available to them.

Licensed counsellor Rachna Buxani will be the moderator at the bi-weekly meetings.

The group will meet from 7pm until 8pm, free of charge at the Dubai Community Health Centre.

ADHD is a neurobiological disorder that gives rise to significant problems with concentration hyperactivity and/or impulsivity that impact adversely on education and home and social life. Parents find it particularly challenging to manage the behaviour of children with ADHD and need support and guidance to do the same.

Those interested in further information and registration can contact Dubai Community Health Centre.
