Adec okays pact on Mina Zayed

ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Executive Council (Adec) endorsed yesterday an agreement signed between the Abu Dhabi Seaports Department (ADSPD) and Dubai Ports Authority (DPA) for the management services of Mina Zayed. The council in its regular weekly meeting, presided over by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, approved awarding of contracts for the public gardens of Al Ain and Al Jahili and commissioning of cables and integrated distribution units in different parts in Al Ain.

The council also gave its nod for appointing a consultant for the infrastructure of the new campus of the UAE University. It endorsed an additional allocation to the 2005 budget of the General Authority for Health Services in Abu Dhabi (GAHS). A number of projects by the Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authority (Adewa) were approved.

The council discussed a number of issues on its agenda and took appropriate action on them.
