ADACH's participation in the festival seeks to set up dialogue and cooperation with the world's most prolific movie makers, artists and industry experts.

The ADACH delegation to the Festival is headed by its Director General Mohammed Khalaf Al Mazroui, who is also the Deputy Chairman of the Middle East International Film Festival.

Brochures explaining the growing interest of the emirate in movie making, as well as the activities of ADACH, are distributed at the pavilion.

In an effort to train local and Arab talent in the film industry, ADACH opened a film academy in Abu Dhabi earlier in February this year in cooperation with the New York Film Institute.

Alongside Venice and Berlin, Cannes is considered one of the world's oldest and most influential film festivals.
