DUBAI — Have you paid your traffic fines, or are these fines accumulating against your name for some time? Better do that soon or risk stiff penalties.
Dubai Police have made clear they'll now take stringent action against companies, car rental offices as well as motorists who commit traffic violations and delay payment of their traffic fines.
The decision to intensify the drive against delay in payment of traffic fines comes following revelations that more than Dh70 million in traffic fine was lying outstanding, and was yet to be paid to the General Department of Traffic of Dubai Police.
A major portion of these fines are to be paid by car rental companies.
