As per an agreement signed with the International Information Technology Security Consortium (ISC), the Etisalat Academy will increase the number of times the exam can be taken from four to six per year.

The CISSP is a certification offered for the IT Security field and the Etisalat Academy has been the only representative for ISC in the region since 2003. The CISSP exams were held last week at the Etisalat Academy in Dubai. Forty-eight nominees specialised in Internet Security working in different governmental bodies and companies in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Pakistan, India and South Africa took the exams at the Academy.

Dr Doaa Fares, General Manager, Etisalat Academy, said, “The Etisalat Academy, the sole regional centre for holding such international exams as the CISSP, exceeds its role in enhancing professional cadres, regionally and internationally, in IT Security by offering specialised courses and programmes.

The international organisation, (ISC)2, appointed the Etisalat Academy as its regional representative based on the Academy’s reputation in the IT domain.”

Applicants are required to achieve a minimum of 700 points to pass their tests to get their international certificate in Information Technology Security.

Applicants are also required to provide all the required documents to the division concerned in the academy for registration.
