Abu Dhabi to send gas turbines to Pak

ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Executive Council has approved a memorandum by the Abu Dhabi Electricity and Water Authority (Adwea) to send gas turbines from Abu Dhabi power station to Pakistan.

The meeting was presided over by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The meeting also agreed to the appointment of a consultant to supervise the project.

A memorandum was approved for laying of undergroundcables in different areas of Al Ain city in addition to the appointment of a consultant to oversee the project.

The council also approved awarding the contract of building a 400 kV power station in Khuwair Al Ain in addition to the appointment of a consultant to oversee the project.

Funds for the installation of water distribution system in Abu Dhabi industrial city and the appointment of a consultant were also approved. The council gave approval of recommendation for the infrastructure of the new university city in Al Ain.
