The pair tangled while battling for third place behind winner Oscar Piastri of McLaren and Ferrari's Charles Leclerc
The event was organised by the Society of Incentive Travel Executive (SITE). The ADTA also took part in SITE’s workshop held in the UK capital. The workshop was designed for those new to the business tourism industry. They also attended a lecture on the basics of ‘incentive business’ and how to enhance the knowledge of those who are already working in the industry.
Ahmed Hussein, director of Product Development at ADTA, said: “Sponsoring the SITE Fun Run and breakfast gave us a great opportunity to showcase Abu Dhabi to the future buyers in the global incentive travel industry and also shows that we have a commitment to training the young leaders of tomorrow.”
Wam adds: SITE and the ADTA are committed to retain, engage and attract future leaders by providing education and networking opportunities.
The workshop is a great opportunity for young leaders to launch their career in the incentive industry by expanding their business network, learning about the latest incentive trends through various interactive discussions.
The workshop was attended by three young leaders from the ADTA. The fun run went through the park and included a visit to the London office of the ADTA where the participants were offered some traditional Arabic coffee and dates before completing the race.
Gillian Taylor, business tourism manager for the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority, is on the international board of directors of SITE representing Africa and the Middle East further enhancing Abu Dhabi’s profile in the business tourism industry.
