Abu Dhabi Police’s traffic safety drive for children
ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Police Traffic Department has completed preparations for a safety awareness campaign for school children before the new academic year 2007-2008 starts on August 26. The awareness campaign will continue up to November 30.
The campaign is aimed at educating children about traffic safety and the ways to observe safety rules while taking the school bus and crossing the roads.
Major Adnan Al Zaabi, head of the Media and Public Relation Department at the Traffic Department, affirmed the importance of such campaigns.
He urged parents to abide by traffic rules to protect their children.
The traffic safety awareness campaign will be implemented in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Educational Zone (ADEZ).
Under the plan, schools will be visited and lectures will be delivered on safety issues.
