Abu Dhabi Municipality restructures departments
ABU DHABI — Dr Jawan Al Dhahiri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Municipality and Agriculture Department, issued orders yesterday for restructuring the various departments of the municipality.
Al Dhahiri named Engineer Samia Abdul Raouf acting director-general of building projects giving her the required powers.
He also issued an order forming a committee responsible for maintenance of mosques in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The committee will be headed by Engineer Abdullah Saeed Al Shamsi, Director of Maintenance and Operation Section.
Dr Al Jawan also issued a decision forming a team presided by Engineer Ahmed Mohammed Al Shareef, Under-secretary of the department, to draw geographical boundaries for the municipalities of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region.
Other regulatory decisions include formation of a team for restructuring Al Ain Municipality, and a decision ordering restaurant and cafeteria owners to obtain permits from the City Image Section of the Abu Dhabi Municipality before making seating arrangements for customers outside the restaurants.
