Abu Dhabi: MEOW events continue

The Middle East Week for Oil and Gas (MEOW), organized by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), will run to 25th of April in Jumairah Ittihad Towers, Abu Dhabi with workshops attended by a number of officials and oil experts from the middle east.

Workshops at Middle East Week for Oil and Gas commenced on 21st April highlighted a number of topics relating to partnership contracts for production, production sharing contracts & international petroleum fiscal systems, the 2nd Annual Base Oil & Lubes Middle East, and the 4th Oil Products Forum Middle East.

Among the speakers and participants are CEOs from ADNOC, as well as managers and directors from affiliate ADNOC companies such as Takreer, Alhosn Gas, ADNOC Distribution, along with over 400 participants from the CEO and manager elites in regional and international oil and gas companies, as well as specialists in this field.

The week also saw the launch of the 21st Annual Middle East Petroleum Conference under the theme “Middle East: Oil & Gas Politics, Economics, and the Impact of Unconventional Supplies”

In his opening remarks, Suhail bin Mohamed Faraj Farie Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, predicted an increase in global demand for petroleum to reach 105 million BPD in 2030, alluding to more optimistic scenarios where it would rise to 112 Million BPD.

While Abdulla Nasser Al Suwaidi, ADNOC general manager, has stressed the importance of providing secure and stable supplies of Oil and Gas with reasonable yet profiting prices for the company, highlighting these two factors in reinforcing the Global Economic Growth and ensuring a suitable lifestyle for the industrial and developing states.

Al Suwaidi has affirmed ADNOC’s engagement to making more efforts aiming to develop its discovery and production infrastructure , refined product industry and petrochemical industries.

The Middle East Petroleum Conference is one of the oldest conferences in the petroleum fields in the middle east, and was hosted in Abu Dhabi as a solidification of Abu Dhabi’s status as a major player in the energy sector, as well as the UAE’s role in general in the regional Oil and Gas sector in the lights of the resulting positive exchanges with international companies.
