This participation falls in line with the principles set by the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It also aims at enhancing the already strong relations between the two brotherly countries, and that it indicates all aspects of the economic, political and commercial relations.

It is expected that UAE products and services will be able to create further awareness in the Syrian market, where participation from around 40 countries are anticipated. As part of the “Made in UAE – Syria” pavilion, there will be around 30 national companies and factories participating in this very important market.

The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, in cooperation with the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry, is jointly responsible for the organising the “Made in UAE” series, with the support of the Ministry of Finance and Industry and the Ministry of Economy and Planning.

The joint cooperation shown by all these bodies reflects the strategy the UAE government departments are following in driving the sales and promotion initiative in the UAE export industry, as well as awareness of the country’s services industry.

“Made in UAE – Syria” will be showcasing some of the UAE’s finest products and services such as airline industry, artificial stones production, filament manufacturing, scaffolding constructions, cleaning detergents and chemicals, aluminium extrusion, boats and yachts, converting industries, agricultural products, petro-chemicals, plastic production industries, food and beverage, tobacco production and many more.

Ahmad Humaid Al Mazrouie, Director-General of Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, said: “The UAE’s first time participation in 29th International Trade Fair in Tanzania is part of a continuing strategy to heighten the profile and general awareness of the UAE’s products and services to new markets such as the African markets.
