AAWC B.Ed student gets scholarship

AL AIN — A third year Bachelor of Education student at Al Ain Women’s College, Maha Ali Al Shamsi, has been chosen for a scholarship to pursue undergraduate studies in the Near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Programme

The scholarship is intended to promote mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and the United Arab Emirates.

Maha Ali will be travelling to the United States to study for a semester at Morrisville University in New York.

Commenting on the achievement, Maha Ali said: “Studying in the United States for a semester or two in Near East and South Asia Undergraduate Exchange Programme is one of my dreams. I feel so excited.”

“I met all the colleagues who will join me in this experience and also met the wonderful people at the US Embassy who have been very helpful. They provided us with the information we needed. They have been extremely friendly and cooperative,” she added.
