A book of essays to be released to mark HCT anniversary

ABU DHABI – The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) is preparing a collection of essays for its 20th anniversary this summer.

The collection, titled ‘20 – An Anthology Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of HCT,’ will be available in bookshops across UAE in August. Simultaneously, ‘20’ will also be launched in New York and London.

The essays are written by prominent thinkers, scientists, writers and academicians from the Arab world as well as from Europe and the United States. Although the subjects are different, the theme in common: knowledge as the main fruit of education.

The collection, edited by HCT Vice-Chancellor Dr Tayeb Kamali, contains an introduction by Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of HCT.

Apart from the book of essays, HCT will celebrate its anniversary with a major conference in Dubai on August 30. A number of national and international personalities from the field of education will be attending the event.
