9kg of drugs seized in Fujairah in one year
FUJAIRAH -The Anti-Narcotics Department of Fujairah Police has seized 9kg of drugs over the past one year, Major Ali Al Hamoudi, Head of the Department, has said.
He said the department registered 20 drug cases and arrested 36 people, including 13 UAE nationals.
The charges against them varied from possessing and consuming to smuggling and trading in narcotic substances.
In the first six months of this year, the department seized 1kg of drugs and registered 18 cases against 28 people, including 12 UAE nationals.
