91 Fujairah prisoners get Ramadan pardon
The amnesty covered prisoners who had shown good behaviour while behind the bars.
Fujairah - His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has ordered the release of 91 inmates of various nationalities from the reformatory and correctional institutions in the emirate.
The amnesty covered prisoners who had shown good behaviour while behind the bars.
The Ruler’s kind gesture would give the released prisoners another chance to start life anew and join their families.
Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, thanked the Ruler of Fujairah for this humanitarian gesture, hoping that the amnesty would motivate the released prisoners to start a “righteous life”.
