According to the prosecution records, the incidents allegedly took place in May in the house of the schoolgirl’s parents in Al Muhaisna 3, Al Qusais.

The sailor, identified as I.H., faced a molestation charge in the Court of First Instance. He allegedly forced himself on the little girl in his bedroom, threatening he would beat her up if she informed her parents.

The girl’s mother, a 29-year-old Emirati employee, told the prosecutor that more than one week before she filed a complaint, she noticed stains on her daughter’s clothes. She also noticed that the girl’s private parts were infected.

She took her to a clinic in Al Mamzar where she was given the necessary treatment. However, according to the mother, the girl’s condition did not get better even after one week.

She took her again to the clinic where they collected a sample of the stains for tests. She had to go to the clinic a few days later when she was called. The mother was then told that her girl had a disease which could be the result of sexual assault. The mother said during the investigation that when she emerged from the clinic, she questioned her daughter about who had molested her. The latter did not respond first. But with the mother’s insistence, the girl told her that her uncle used to take her into his bedroom where he molested her.

The girl also told same things to the prosecutor. In her statement, the schoolgirl said that the molestation happened more than once.

An Emirati lieutenant told the prosecutor that he arrested the defendant in his house in Al Muhaisna 3 after being informed about a rape incident. The defendant admitted he molested the girl. The accused admitted during the police interrogations and the investigation by the Public Prosecution that he molested his niece. — mary@khaleejtimes.com
