5kg hashish seized, two arrested
AJMAN - The Ajman Police have arrested two Asians allegedly for trafficking drugs and seized 5kg of hashish and 35,000 prohibited tablets.
The Anti-Narcotics Department of the Ajman Police received a tip-off that the duo smuggled hashish into the country and were looking for buyers. Colonel Saeed Humaid Nasser, Director of the department, said that an undercover police official contacted one of the as a genuine buyer.
The two were caught red-handed while handing over a bag containing 5kg of hashish to the police official. On searching their car 12 grams of opium and other drugs were found,” he added.
