50 offices gutted
DUBAI — Around 50 offices were gutted in flames yesterday morning in the Ras Al Khor area, Dubai, behind the car exhibition, according to the Dubai Civil Defence (DCD). The fire also destroyed the main computer network of the company and several other computers and office hardware.
The DCD reported that they got a phone call at 3.26am from one of the employees in the company. The fire-fighting forces rushed to the location and immediately helped in putting out the fire that was spreading to the machines and other offices. No casualties were reported. Several fire stations like Al Qusais Fire Station and Al Rashidya Fire Station participated in the operation.
