The move comes in the framework of the government’s efforts to provide decent living to the Emirati families in Ras Al Khaimah.

The Director-General of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Mubarak Ali Al Shamsi, who is also chairman of the committee for the development of the northern areas of the emirate, said the committee will soon hand over the completed houses to 50 local families, and would continue to give houses to the remaining families as soon as they are completed.

He stressed that all Emirati families and individuals in the emirate who are in need of houses, would benefit from the Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Comprehensive Development Plan for the emirate, which is currently building new houses for the Emiratis in the northern areas, or the Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme that is offering housing loans to all UAE citizens in Ras Al Khaimah.

He added that the municipality is currently surveying land to allocate it to those Emiratis who would wish to build houses in other areas of the emirate.
