453 buses to ferry pupils in Al Ain

AL AIN — The head of the Emirates Transportation Establishment (ETE) branch in Al Ain, Mohammed Moin A’l Ali, has announced that the company has readied 453 school buses for the new academic year 2007-2008 to carry 37,192 students of model schools, the Sharaka (partnership) schools, and other government schools in Al Ain.

The Sharaka schools in the emirate of Abu Dhabi are now under the administration of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC). Previously, they were under the Ministry of Education (MoE).

He said that the buses which will pick up the students from their houses will ply on 596 routes in Al Ain City and nearby areas. Students would gather at 9,230 points in the city and surrounding areas.
