The programme targets 40,000 underprivileged children and orphans in Ethiopia and will continue until Eid Al Adha.

Attending the inauguration ceremony, which was held at the Orphans Centre in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa, were Ethiopian Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Abdulfattah Abdullah, members of the UAE Embassy in Addis Ababa, the Commissioner for Social Affairs, Women and Children in the Municipality of Addis Ababa and a number of organisations and supervisors involved in taking care of children in Ethiopia.

The project is being coordinated with a number of charitable organisations to include the largest group of underprivileged children coinciding with the Haj season and Eid Al Adha.
