Shaikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region, announced the gesture during a field tour of the island on Wednesday. He met with the Delma Islanders to check their living conditions and inspected progress of work in various vital development and services projects.

Shaikh Hamdan said he was satisfied that the houses, to be built on modern specifications, would enhance stability of the family.

Upon arrival on the island, Shaikh Hamdan visited the proposed sites of the housing project and the monument where the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan inaugurated three offshore fields (Delma, Satin and Gernin) in 1981. —
