This action was pursuant to an order passed by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, regarding the withdrawal of the licences of truck drivers who jump the red light.

The acting director of Dubai General Department of Traffic, Brigadier Essa Aman, said that all police monitoring and seizure squads along with the traffic patrols are now spread over the internal and external roads of Dubai.

He added that such patrols have increased the control on trucks. Brig. Aman called on the people to cooperate with the policemen.
