348 CID officers honoured
DUBAI — Brigadier Khamis Matter AL Mazina, Director of General Department of Criminal Investigation, has awarded medals of distinguished service to 348 officials of the CID department of the Dubai Police.
Major Yousuf Al Adidi, Acting Director of Administration Affairs Department, was also present at the ceremony. Al Mazina praised the efforts of the CID officials to keep up the good image of the Dubai Police.
Big bug display as part of DSS
DUBAI — In line with the celebration of Nature Surprises Week for the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), Deira City Centre will continue to showcase big friendly bugs and a colourful display of birds in the Great Bird Spectacle daily until August 2.
Accurate, human-size exhibits of a butterfly, ladybird and snail in state-of-the-art interactive displays and a stunning forest of birds and trees will help children learn more about nature's flora and fauna.
A butterfly workshop from 5pm to 10pm daily and a bright fish display will enhance the learning experience for children and make them feel closer.
Special promotions at SLC
SHARJAH — Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) will have various promotions and special offer for women and children during the month of August. The exclusive promotions include: 15 per cent discount on club membership, a free beverage when spending Dh50 or a free main course when spending Dh105 at Lafeef Restaurant.
In addition, Dalouk Spa and Salon have special promotions this month on some of their treatments for hair and skin.
The children can also enjoy their time at Basateen Preschool Centre as they will learn different activties such as music, dancing, story reading, sports, swimming etc.
