DUBAI — A total of 31,979 traffic violations were registered by the Naif Police station during the first seven months of the year, according to First Lieutenant Abdullah Al Kash, Head of the Traffic Movement Section at the department.
Failing to abide by lane rules topped the list of violations at 11,349. Besides, 4,946 violation tickets were issued for parking at prohibited area, 2,852 for disturbing the flow of traffic and 1,127 for crossing the yellow box. Similarly, there were 1,015 violations for parking in spaces specified for people with special needs, 188 for failing to keep a safe distance between vehicles, 214 for driving with expired licence and 966 for jumping the red light.
