The workers gathered at the labour court demanding unpaid wages, overtime remuneration, air tickets and end-of-service dues.

“We had filed a complaint with the Ministry of Labour (MoL) in October 2006. The MoL transferred the case to the court after the company did not pay our dues,” said a worker.

This was the second time that the workers had approached the court. The workers alleged that they had worked without labour cards for months and the condition of their accommodation was not at all healthy.
