2,179 fined for jumping signal

DUBAI - Brigadier Issa Aman, Deputy Director of General Department of Traffic of the Dubai Police, said that they had issued 2179 tickets in the last six months for traffic signal violations. He said that the department has intensified the campaign against risky traffic violation such as jumping red signals.

He said that 845 tickets were issued in presence while 1333 tickets were issued in absentia. He explained that 752 tickets were issued against violators whose ages are between 31-40 years while violators between 22-30 years were issued 622 tickets.
