The minister made an announcement to this effect following discussions held yesterday between senior officials from the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) and the board of directors of the Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme.

Faisal Al Gurg, director of the Shaikh Zayed Housing Programme, attended the meeting along with members of the board.

"The meeting was aimed at restructuring the committees assisting the board of directors in verifying the applications submitted from UAE nationals for houses in the country," the minister said, noting that the MPWH is represented in the committees.

Mr Al Rakad pointed out that several technical committees will verify the veracity of information included in the applications.

"We have a huge database about the housing sector in the UAE, and will exchange information with the committees and the board of directors of the project," the minister stressed.
