They comprised 21 graduates of different nationalities, including UAE nationals.

The head of the Dubai Civil Aviation Department, Chairman of Emirates airline and Chancellor of BUiD, Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, was the chief guest.

"These students have worked hard and achieved excellent results and they are to be congratulated, as are the founders, contributors and partners who had the vision and have enabled BUiD to be established and operated to the highest British standards," said Shaikh Ahmed while honouring the graduates.

The ceremony saw excited parents, family members and friends turn up in huge numbers. The graduates were from different backgrounds and careers. Many of them, who are already working, studied part-time to do the course.

"Each student's achievement represents a huge honour both for them and for the university. It clearly reflects the high international standards for which the institution and students alike are striving and are now being recognised for," said Vice-Chancellor Dr Abdullah M. Alshamsi.
