Medic in Pakistan ‘forced’ to delete autopsy data

Sindh chief minister Qasim Ali Shah has ordered inquiry into the complaint by a medico-legal officer of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) that he forced to delete police encounter autopsy reports after being ‘kidnapped’ by police.

Talking to reporters, Dr Shahzad alleged around seven armed personnel in plain clothes raided his house, kidnapped him and his brother at gunpoint and tortured him to get deleted important files pertaining to autopsies of suspects killed in ‘encounters’ with police from his laptop and mobile phone on Sunday.
