Fugitive arrested in Thailand extradited to Bahrain
The convict had been sentenced to life imprisonment for attempting to murder four on-duty policemen.
Manama: A convict who escaped from a detention centre has been arrested in Thailand and extradited to Bahrain.
Muharraq Prosecutor Abdulla Al Dosary said on Monday that the convict had been sentenced to life imprisonment for attempting to murder four on-duty policemen.
He was handed an additional three-year prison sentence for illegal rallying and possession of firebombs. Appearing before the public prosecution, the prisoner admitted that he was under arrest warrant in connection with other criminal cases.
