He was received at the Dubai International Airport by Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Civil Aviation Authority, CEO and Chairman of the Emirates Airline and Group, on behalf of the Government of Dubai; Anurag Bhushan, Consul General of India; Syedi Ammar BS Jamaluddin, brother of Sultan-ul-Bohra; Kinana BS Jamaluddin, President of Anjuman e-Najmi, Dubai; and officials of the Dawoodi Bohra Muslim Community in the UAE.
Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin arrived at the venue of reception in Al Qusais — close to the Masjid al Burhani Complex — organised by the community accompanied by Protocol officials, where he was accorded a grand welcome by over 15,000 members of the community, assembled from all across the country.
Dr Syedna was accompanied by his sons — Amir Jafarus Sadiq BS Saifuddin and Amir Hussain BS Saifuddin — as well as by the members of the Royal family.
This is Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin’s first visit as Sultan ul Bohra after the demise of his father, the 52nd Dai el Fatimi, late Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, in Mumbai 11 months ago.
Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin addressed the gathering with the message of love and peace, reiterating that love for one’s country is an article of faith, and only love is the essence of all religions. He thanked Almighty Allah for all the blessings and for bestowing man with intellect, who he created to worship Him. He urged all to work for the welfare and benefit of all mankind.
He said: “Amidst you all, I fondly remember the presence of my late father Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin and his strong bond of love and friendship with the founding fathers of the UAE the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan al Nahyan, and late Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and their immense love and sacrifice for the progress of the UAE and its people.” -news@khaleejtimes.com
