Khalifa receives camel race golden swords

The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received on Wednesday, two golden swords won by the ‘Bu Al Abyad’ and ‘Al Dheeba’ during the final camel racing festival, held in Al Wathba between 10 and 19 March.

Shaikh Khalifa received the golden swordson Wednesday in the presence of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The swords were handed to Shaikh Khalifa by Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

Shaikh Khalifa congratulated winners of the festival’s sword trophies and praised the performance of the Presidential Camels Camp and their victories in races. He also lauded the efforts made to make the festival of this traditional sport a rousing success.

Shaikh Mansour thanked Shaikh Khalifa and Shaikh Mohamed for their unlimited support to enriching the camel racing sport.

Present were Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, Shaikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Lt. General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Executive Council Member, Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and Chairman of the Emirates Camel Racing Association, Shaikh Hazza bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan and Shaikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan.
